8th Annual Bull Sale
Thursday 22nd August 2019
New Sire Lines include:
MILLAH MURRAH LAKESIDE L69:
We were the under-bidders when Lakeside sold for $54,000 at the 2016 Millah Murrah bull sale. He is deep & wide with good balance and a strong Angus head. His maternal pedigree is peerless. His dam H113 has had three sons fetch $40,000 or more. H113’s full sister sold as Australia’s highest priced Angus cow at the 2017 Millah Murrah Female sale when she made $52,000. Lakeside’s daughters are outstanding and his sons exhibit tremendous thickness with their sire’s soft finish. They will be the first Lakeside sons to be sold in Australia.
BOORAGUL REVENUE M4:
We purchased Revenue M4 for $35,000 at the 2017 Booragul Angus Bull Sale in partnership with Knowla Livestock and Palgrove. He has exceptional length and a powerful hind quarter. His sons here will be among the first available in Australia.
EF COMPLEMENT 8088:
Complement is the first sire that we have used directly out of USA. He breeds cattle with good top line muscle expression and provides a balanced number set. His calves here are showing tremendous thickness from an early age. His sons are highly versatile, commercially applicable bulls with phenotype and figures.
MATAURI REALITY 839:
Out of New Zealand, Reality has stamped his place in the Australian Angus industry as a bull to moderate some of the higher growth cattle in the breed. We selected him for use over bigger framed female lines in the herd and his calves here have all been born early and unassisted. He is known to add softness and sound structure.

7th Annual Bull Sale
100% Sale Clearance
Our 7th Annual Bull sale was held on Thursday 23rd of August 2018. Despite trying seasonal conditions for much of regional NSW throughout 2018, the bulls were very well supported, resulting in a fantastic sale outcome. 100% of the 37 bulls offered sold to a top of $15,000 and an overall average of $6459. We were extremely pleased to see 21 of the 37 bulls sell to new clients spread right across NSW and into Victoria as well. It was great to see long term repeat clients competing hard for the top end bulls. The Combes family from Lue Station purchased lot 4, a Millah Murrah Klooney son for $15,000. Another long term client Dick Croake, representing the Blackwell family, purchased 3 bulls on the day, including lot 5, a Te Mania Emperor son for $15,000. As well as around Mudgee, bulls went to a massive spread around NSW to commercial operations at Bylong, Rylstone, Mandurama, Oberon, Wagga Wagga, Bourke, Guyra and across the border to Dumbalk, Victoria. We look forward to hearing feedback on the cattle and eagerly await some rain in the coming months.
6th Annual Bull Sale 2017
Pictured above: Lot 8 & 9 who sold for $12,000 & $14,000 respectively.
Coffin Creek hosted another strong sale at our 6th Annual Bull Sale. With by far the largest crowd to date, bulls were very well received with 36 bulls selling to a top of $14,000 at an average of $7694. As always, buyers competed hard for the younger draft of bulls, whose group averaged a touch under $8000. It was great to see so many bulls go to new homes, including commercial operations at Ben Lomond, Buladelah, Willow Tree and Cassilis. Long time clients, the Pemberton Family, paid $12,000 for the outstanding young sire Lot 8 M61 who weighed 720kgs at 16 months of age. Repeat buyer Dick Croake, representing FM & MH Blackwell, paid the top price of the day; $14,000 for Lot 9, Coffin Creek Mudgee M73. Both the high selling bulls were sons of Coffin Creek Joker J202 who topped our sale in 2015. Repeat, volume buyers took bulls to Molong, Merriwa and Rylstone Districts. The commercial EU Heifers on offer topped at $1550/head to an average of $1372. A fantastic sale for us here, and great to see plenty of our long term clients buying good quality, affordable Angus bulls.

Of the 31 bulls, 21 went to repeat buyers and 10 to new clients. We are extremely proud of or cattle and are humbled by the way they were received. Thank you!
